Multiple E-STEAM courses are ready to be implemented now. NIYAAA is ready to launch programs immediately in the Summer of 2020 and beyond.

Name of Program: Black to The Future

Black to the Future is an introductory course for black students to learn about the future of STEM based careers, businesses, and industries and opportunities in these fields. In 2018, it was reported that 80 percent of employment opportunities in 10 years will be STEM based. Thus, the FUTURE of young black students in terms of in employability and entrepreneurship is intricately connected to immersion in the STEM disciplines. These courses will be modeled like simulators and incubators with a goal of building a pipeline for students to go right into a stem industry with a goal for professional and/or entrepreneurial success.

Black to the Future: Course One

The Business of Industrial Automation and learning the basic skills of coding and programming robots.

Location of Program

  1. Live classes can be held in Southern California region where ROBOT equipment is located.

Cost of Program

  • Course materials and facilitator fee (6 weeks of instruction)            $7000.00

 

The purchase of more robots and tablets is desired for expansion of the programs reach in underserved areas and underrepresented communities. 

  1. Epson Robots (Program has two robots and accessories). In order to expand, the cost of each robot and accessories are:
  1. SCARA                                    $8000.00
  2. 6 AXIS                                    $15000.00
  3. Accessories                            $3000.00

How many students?

20 per class @ $350.00 per student = $7000.00. This equals about $60.00 per class for each student.

How often are classes?

This course has 6 weekly classes for 4 hours EACH to be held on 6 consecutive Saturday mornings.

Deliverables

    1. Hard and soft copy of training materials
    2. Thumb drive with software and lab results
    3. Tee shirt
    4. Certification of Completion
  • Possible Tablet Lap Top for each graduate 

 

*certification in similar STEM programs are worth up to $3000.
